A power outage in north Redding very early Sunday morning was caused by a drunk driver, according to Redding Police. At 2:40am, 57-year-old Lawrence Lopez allegedly struck a power pole at the intersection of Lake Boulevard and Masonic Avenue at the Cassidy Auto Lube. Many homes and businesses in the area lost electricity. Lopez was arrested.
