A sex offender and arson registrant compliance sweep was done last weekend at an East Redding motel. Redding Police learned that several registrants were living at the Bridgeway Inn and Suites on Bechelli Lane. On the morning of December 21st officers arrived and contacted 46-year-old Bryan Smith, a registered sex offender on active post release supervision. His room was searched and his cell phone allegedly contained pornographic images and messages that violated his terms, so he was booked into jail.
