Deadline To Submit Damage Claims From Recent Flooding Is January 8th

A local state of emergency remains in effect and storm damage assessments are still being done by the Shasta County Office of Emergency Services so they can be submitted to the state for possible relief assistance. Damage to homes and businesses within Redding City Limits should be reported to cityofredding.gov/emergency while damage that occurred in the unincorporated areas of the county should be reported by emailing all the details and photos to oes@shastacounty.gov before Thursday the 8th.

There’s a “multi-agency resource center” being set up by the Red Cross with several other non-profit agencies to provide material relief as well as medical advice and mental health counseling for flood survivors. It’ll be set up from 8AM to 6PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Northern Valley Catholic Social Services, located at 2400 Washington Avenue off Park Marina Drive.
