The man accused of starting the Thompson Fire in 2024 was in court Wednesday. Spencer Anderson appeared in a Butte County courtroom on Wednesday for sentencing after his trial concluded in December in the Thompson Fire arson case; however, the sentencing was continued to late-January. The fire was the second largest in Butte County during the 2024 fire season, destroying nearly 30 structures.
