Sherri Papini Requests Out Of Area Therapist At Trial Readiness Conference

The custody dispute between Sherri Papini, who gained national attention after faking her kidnapping in 2016, and her husband, Keith Papini, continued Monday during a trial readiness conference in Shasta County Superior Court. Sherri Papini’s attorney said she is on a wait list for behavior therapy with a local provider and suggested treatment could begin sooner if she were allowed to see an out-of-area therapist via Zoom. Keith Papini’s attorney opposed changing existing orders, while Judge Kathryn Barton said she would consider the option if it allowed Papini to begin therapy sooner. The case returns to court January 26th.
