Documentary Will Be Shown To Mark 100th Anniversary Of The Shasta Union High School District

The Shasta Union High School District turns 100 next weekend with a public event highlighting it’s history. Shasta High, originally known as Shasta County High School, was built in 1926. Shasta Historical Society Board Member Emeritus Charlie Williams has produced a 55-minute documentary tracing the people, schools and programs that have shaped the district from its founding to today. The event begins at Noon on Saturday at University Preparatory School. The documentary will be shown at 1PM in the David Marr Auditorium at U-Prep, followed by a question-and-answer session. Admission is free for members of the Shasta Historical Society. A suggested $10 donation is requested from community members.
