An Oak Run man accused of brutally abusing his 5-month-old infant appeared in court Wednesday. On Wednesday of last week, a local hospital called law enforcement after the severely injured baby was brought in suffering from oral injuries and brain bleeds that were apparently not consistent with explanations provided by the father, 39-year-old Christopher Jeffery Hasley. The baby was transferred to an out of area hospital in critical condition. Another child was placed in protective custody. Hasley was arrested last Friday and Wednesday the DA.’s Office filed felony child abuse charges. Hasley pled not guilty, and will return to court next week. He’s being held without bail.
