The City of Redding is ready to begin construction on a key link between Turtle Bay and Downtown Redding, finally bringing the expanded Sacramento River Trail full circle. The $1.8 Million project runs along Sundial Bridge Drive from Butte Street to the Turtle Bay parking lot. It’ll feature a shared-use path, a raised intersection with curb extensions, raised crosswalks, pedestrian lighting, A.D.A. ramps and other upgrades. Around 92% of the cost is covered by state grant funding. Ground will be broken Monday on the “Turtle Bay to Downtown Gap Completion Project”. It should be complete by April 24th.
