A preliminary hearing was held last week for an Oak Run man accused of leaving his 5-month-old child in a coma and possibly paralyzed. On January 21st, a local hospital called law enforcement after the severely injured baby was brought in suffering from oral injuries and brain bleeds that were apparently not consistent with explanations provided by the father, 39-year-old Christopher Jeffery Hasley. The baby was transferred to an out of area hospital and is still in critical condition. Another child was placed in protective custody. Hasley has been ordered to answer to all charges. He returns to court February 23rd. He’s being held without bail.
