The Redding City Council has unanimously approved allowing open containers of alcohol along Hilltop Drive during the Kool April Nites cruise next month. It’ll work the same as the Downtown Entertainment Zone, with drinks allowed only from participating businesses, who will issue special wristbands. It’ll only be in effect from 6PM to 9PM on April 24th and only on Hilltop Drive, not the rest of the parade route.
