A Tehama County man is accused of attacking another man with a machete. Monday afternoon deputies were called to Vina by a woman who reported her husband had been attacked by 22-year-old Paul Wesley Daggett. She said she and her husband were able to disarm him and run away. While deputies were on their way, Daggett called 911 from his home. He eventually surrendered and was booked for attempted murder. The victim suffered multiple serious lacerations to his head and neck and was in stable condition at last word.
