Man With Multiple DUI Convictions Sentenced To Prison After High Speed Chase

A man has been sentenced for a high speed chase in Tehama County while drunk. On January 23rd Eric Mitchell Roberts was pulled over by the CHP for speeding, but he fled and led officers on a chase at more than 100 miles an hour. Eventually he abandoned the car and fled on foot. A K9 was sent after him and found him. When officers caught up Roberts was hiding in a tree with bite marks. He had a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit, and had multiple prior DUI convictions. Roberts reached a plea deal for a 3 year state prison sentence.
