A 29-year-old Red Bluff man has reached a plea deal after being caught with more than 600 images of child sexual abuse material. Red Bluff Police got a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and learned that images and videos depicting children in sexual situations was being uploaded from the Internet to an email address connected to Coleton Lane Benson. When confronted, Benson confirmed it was his email. Search warrants were secured for Benson’s Google account, and he was arrested. After pleading guilty to one felony and one misdemeanor,Benson has been sentenced to 2 years in state prison.
