Anderson Police say a motorcyclist led them on a high speed pursuit. At 12:41AM Saturday morning an APD Officer tried to stop a motorcycle for speeding on Alexander Avenue near Little Street. The rider sped away, leading a chase that went up Interstate 5 and east on Highway 44 to the Palo Cedro area until the rider, identified as 22-year-old Matthew Smith of Redding, suddenly stopped and was taken into custody.
