A teenager who was just 17 when he committed murder in Red Bluff has made a plea deal to be sentenced as an adult. In September of 2024 Red Bluff Police were called to Oak Street, where they found a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. Life saving efforts were attempted but the boy died. Red Bluff Police Detectives determined the killing to be gang related. The shooter, Blake Bush, is now 19-years-old and has agreed to waive his right to a hearing for his fitness to be tried as an adult. Last Wednesday he pled guilty to second degree murder and on April 27th he’ll be sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison. He had two alleged accomplices. One of them, Ryan Piper, was just 15 at the time. He admitted to voluntary manslaughter and last September he was sentenced as a juvenile to serve the maximum of 5 years in a secure youth treatment facility. Nathon Olney Reep, who was 19-years-old when the crime was committed, maintains his innocence and returns to court May 11th.
