There was a head-on collision Wednesday between a propane truck and a Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputy. It happened a little after 10:30AM on Clear Creek Road a little east of Cloverdale Road. The truck was carrying about 600 gallons of propane, which started leaking after the crash, prompting evacuations of nearby residents and a closure of Clear Creek Road from Cloverdale to Honeybee Lane. Almost no information has been provided by official sources. The AmeriGas driver was apparently transported by ambulance with unknown injuries. The deputy, who was driving a Ford Explorer patrol vehicle, apparently suffered a moderate head injury.
