A suspected drunk driver was badly injured in a crash in South Redding Thursday afternoon. At 12:30PM a Toyota Tundra driven by 40-year-old Robert Swain was eastbound on South Bonnyview Road when he lost control and left the pavement just east of Indianwood Drive. The truck crashed into the trees and rolled over, ejecting Swain along the way. Redding Police and medical personnel found Swain and he was transported to a hospital with major injuries. The eastbound side of South Bonnyview was closed for several hours for the investigation. Charges against Swain will be filed with the DA’s Office.
