A Red Bluff man is going to prison after a grisly fight violated his probation. 29-year-old Brandon McGuire was convicted of attempted robbery in 2024 after stealing a hat and a backpack. He was given a 3 year prison sentence that was suspended on condition of probation. On Halloween of last year McGuire and another man both got into a fight with a victim during which McGuire bit the victim’s earlobe off. He pleaded guilty to felony assault and will have to serve his previously suspended 3 year state prison sentence.
