Supervisors Will Be Presented With Possible Legislation To Support Or Oppose

The Shasta County Administrative Office will present the Board of Supervisors Tuesday with a handpicked batch of legislation that they’ll be asked to support or oppose. County Executive Officer David Rickert has pulled 30 bills from the more than 4,000 considered this year by state and federal legislative bodies. He’s classified them according to his own opinion on what would be beneficial to local interests. The ensuing discussion could be lengthy, as the board must reach a consensus of support for each of the 30 bills. The bills recommended for support include several by Assemblywoman Heather Hadwick.
