Wanted Woman Crashes Into Creek During Pursuit Near Old Shasta

The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office says a woman with warrants fled a traffic stop before crashing and eventually being caught. 41-year-old Jenna Nicole Cordray had two felony warrants, one for obstructing or resisting police and one for petty theft with priors. A deputy reportedly learned of the warrants after pulling Cordray over near Rock Creek Road and Stardust Lane in the Old Shasta area at 11:30PM Sunday night. As the deputy waited for backup to arrive, Cordray allegedly sped away and led a pursuit on Rock Creek Road but failed to make a turn onto Granite Drive and landed in a creek about 50 feet off the pavement. Deputies say she then fled on foot down the creek and through thick brush before finally surrendering. After being medically cleared at a hospital, Cordray was booked into jail on multiple charges.
