An official censure against Shasta County’s appointed Registrar of Voters Clint Curtis was voted down 3 to 2 Tuesday by the Board of Supervisors. Elections Office staff had filed complaints that Curtis would threaten to slap or throat-punch employees and said he wanted to have an employee pulled out of her office by her hair. Support Services Director Monica Fugitt recommended that Curtis be censured and given counseling, and that he be segregated from his staff in order to protect them from further mistreatment. Over a thousand pages of reports will be released publicly.
