19-Year-Old Sentenced To 25 Years To Life In Prison For 2024 Murder

A teenager who was just 17 when he committed murder in Red Bluff has been given a life sentence. In September of 2024 a 16-year-old boy was shot to death while standing in his front yard on Oak Street. Red Bluff Police Detectives determined the killing to be gang related and traced it to Blake Bush, who’s now 19-years-old. In February he agreed to be tried as an adult and he pled guilty to second degree murder with a special allegation of using a gun. On Monday he was sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison. An accomplice, Ryan Piper, was just 15 at the time. He admitted to voluntary manslaughter and last September he was sentenced as a juvenile to serve the maximum of 5 years in a secure youth treatment facility. Nathon Olney Reep, who was 19-years-old when the crime was committed, maintains his innocence and returns to court May 11th.
