Results Of Investigation Into County ROV Released To The Public

Shasta County staff has redacted names and publicly released the lengthy independent investigation into appointed Registrar of Voters Clint Curtis. Two investigations, one internal and one by a private firm, both substantiated accusations by employees that Curtis has created a hostile work environment by repeatedly threatening and demeaning staff members. The Director of Support Services recommended that he be segregated from staff and required to work remotely, and when he must be in the office that he be chaperoned. The internal investigation, which is longer and more serious, will be released once redactions are complete. During Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors Meeting, the board has a closed session agenda item to discuss Curtis’ threat to sue the county for defamation. Curtis will be interviewed on the KQMS Morning Show Thursday at 7:30AM. His opponent in the Registrar of Voters race, Joanna Francescut, will be here Friday morning at 7:30AM.
