A woman riding a motorcycle died after crashing on the freeway south of Redding Friday afternoon. Just after 5 O’clock a 76-year-old woman from Guntersville, Alabama was northbound on Interstate 5 riding a 2025 Indian motorcycle. She was in the center lane north of Knighton Road when she allowed the motorcycle to drift into the freeway median, where she lost control and crashed, according to the CHP. She was transported to Mercy Medical Center and pronounced dead a short time later. Alcohol or drugs are not suspected.
