A breast milk drive will take place Thursday. The North State Breastfeeding Coalition will teach parents about breast milk donation, screen potential donors and accept frozen breast milk. Pediatricians recommend exclusively breastfeeding for the first six months, but some mothers are unable to breastfeed. Donations will be given to the “Mothers’ Milk Bank”, which serves mothers throughout the state. The event will be Thursday from 10AM to 1PM at Family First Maternity, 1796 Churn Creek Road in Redding. More can be learned at mothersmilk.org.
