Cal Fire Captain Accused Of 134 Counts Of Sexual Abuse Against Children Will Return To Court May 18th

A preliminary hearing has been set once again for a former Cal Fire Captain accused of child molestation against multiple victims. The reason for many of the continued delays in the proceedings against 40-year-old Peter Erick Mock has been the appearance of additional alleged victims. Mock was initially arrested in July of 2022 at the Big Bend Cal Fire Station, and charged with 74 counts of sexual abuse against a child under the age of 14. As the case has grown, Mock now has 4 child sexual assault cases pending against him involving 7 alleged victims and 134 different counts. The preliminary hearing is now set for May 18th. Mock has denied all the accusations against him. He’s being held on bail of more than $2 Million.
