Susanville Police officers are on leave after a man was shot to death. At 12:25am Wednesday morning two officers were dispatched to Richmond Road. One of the officers was reportedly attacked by a man with a machete. The officer fired his gun and the man died at the scene. The officer was treated for injuries at a hospital and released. A multi-agency team is investigating the incident and reviewing body-worn camera footage.
