Two monitors are being assigned to keep an eye on Appointed Registrar of Voters Clint Curtis. The County Administrative Office is placing a staffmember inside the Downtown Elections Office and another in the office on Court Street in the Main Admin Building. This follows two investigations, one internal and one by a private firm, that both substantiated accusations by employees that Curtis has created a hostile work environment by repeatedly threatening and demeaning staff members. The Board of Supervisors delayed voting on a recommended censure until after the election. The Director of Support Services also recommended that Curtis be segregated from staff and required to work remotely, and when he must be in the office that he be monitored. Curtis has apparently agreed to the monitoring arrangement.
