The Lone Stranger and Accomplice who pulled off the Asphalt Cowboys’ Tuesday’s mock robbery of the Five Star Bank were identified Wednesday as Redding Police Chief Brian Barner and Karline Niver, the owner of two downtown Redding restaurants, Karline’s and Deja Vu. The person who figured it out and turned them in is Dan Kupsky, a retired Redding Police sergeant. Kupsky gets $400 reward for his keen investigative work. The loot has still not been found. The reward is now down to $300.
