Over 9,200 Citations Issued At Red Light Cameras In Redding

Redding Police have issued more than 9,200 red light camera enforced citations so far this year. That’s according to data obtained through a public records request by KRCR. By far the most prolific is the Hilltop/Cypress intersection, which accounts for more than 3,200 of them, with nearly 2,300 of those for rolling through right turns. The second most active was Churn Creek and Cypress, followed by Hartnell and Churn Creek. With fines, fees and the cut that goes to private camera operator Redflex, a camera-enforced red light ticket runs more than $500.
