A hit-and-run crash involving a logging truck knocked out power to 1,474 PG&E customers south of Redding early Monday morning. Many customers have been restored, with 641 remaining in the dark. The electricity went out at 4:18AM in an area of Churn Creek Bottom after the truck hit the pole and left live lines blocking Smith Road just off Churn Creek Road. Crews are working to clear the roadway and restore the rest of the power.
