Nationwide Procession To Honor Fallen Emergency Workers Leaves Redding For Arlington,Virginia

A nationwide procession to honor emergency medical professionals who died while serving their patients started here in Redding Monday. The memorial caravan will travel 9,000 miles through 24 states to recognize 37 ems technicians who died on the job last year. It’ll end in Arlington, Virginia on July 19th. The procession started here in honor of Suzie Smith, a Redding Flight Nurse who was killed in a medical helicopter crash in Sacramento in October.
