Some prescribed burns will draw a lot of attention this week.
Tuesday, Cal Fire/Shasta County Fire will resume an ongoing project near Clear Creek Road and Highway 273 behind the Westwood Manor Subdivision. 40 acres will be torched as part of the Gore Ranch Vegetation Management Project off Meadowbrook Drive.
On Thursday crews plan to burn around 584 acres as part of the Swede Creek Vegetation Management Project off Oak Run Road about 7 miles out of Millville.
There’s also a 134 acre fire planned for the Bengard Ranch in the Lake California area on Wednesday, and a 649 acre burn planned for Friday on the Dye Creek Preserve in the Los Molinos area.
