The Shasta County Board of Supervisors launched budget negotiations Monday, and that continues through Thursday. It’s a sometimes grueling process as staff hammers out a spending plan totaling more than $658 Million for the next fiscal. It’s a decrease of around 4% from the 2025-26 budget.
