Woman Who Used Travel Agency To Steal From Customers Sentenced To 2 Years In Jail

A 47-year-old Cottonwood woman has been sentenced for ripping people off through her travel agency. In May of last year the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office announced that the owner and operator of Cottonwood-based Executive Escapades was suspected of fraud and theft. They advised that anyone who won or purchased a vacation package through the agency should verify their reservations directly with the destination to be sure they couldn’t be altered or canceled. Numerous victims handed their money to Heather Rhea Davis but never got their vacations because she never booked them. After pleading guilty to obtaining money by false pretenses, Davis has been sentenced to 2 years in Tehama County Jail.
