Over a Thousand Redding Electric Utility customers lost power on Friday afternoon during a thunderstorm, according to the utilities outage map. At around 2:45PM, 1,038 REU customers lost power along portions of Buenaventura Boulevard, Quartz Hill Road, Keswick Dam Road and Lake Boulevard. By 4:15PM however, power was restored to these customers. At 3:36PM, an additional 572 REU customers lost power in the area of Quartz Hill Road and the streets connected to River Park Drive and River Ridge Drive. About 3,000 PG&E customers also lost power during the storm.
