A Palo Cedro man has died and two others taken to a hospital for treatment following a boating incident at Lake Shasta on Thursday. Just after 5:20PM the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single-vessel boating collision at Town Creek Cove on the Sulanharas Creek Arm of Shasta Lake. It was reported that the vessel had hit the shoreline ejecting three occupants aboard. The three victims, an adult male, an adult female, and a juvenile, were assisted by the occupants of a civilian vessel in the area and were transported to Bridge Bay Marina. The adult male and juvenile were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The adult male, identified as 47-year old Vingenzo Anthony Colletti of Palo Cedro was later pronounced deceased. While the investigation continues, it is believed he was wearing a personal flotation device. A post mortem exam will be scheduled.
