Crews have gotten 30% containment around a fire near Delta Lake 6.5 miles west of Likely in Modoc County. The Rocky Fire started Tuesday afternoon and has burned around 300 acres.
Work may continue today on the 280 acre Gore Ranch Prescribed Burn west of Highway 273 and north of Clear Creek Road. The fuel reduction operation has been ongoing and continues from last fire season.
Cal Fire wrapped up Thursday morning on an overnight prescribed roadside burn along Dersch Road between Millville Plains Road and the Bear Creek Bridge. The plan was to torch a total of about 14 acres. One-way traffic control was in effect. The road re-opened to two-way traffic at around 5:30AM.
