An item on the consent calendar for Tuesday’s Shasta County Board of Supervisors meeting would approve a letter of opposition to Cal Trans about the roundabout planned for Highway 44 at Silverbridge Road just east of Palo Cedro. The roundabout is planned due to a lot of broadside collisions at the intersection. That’s also a stated reason for the reduction in the speed limit to 55 miles an hour.
