An Oak Run man has been given a 20 year prison sentence for destroying the life of his infant child. On January 21st, a local hospital called law enforcement after the severely injured 5-month-old baby was brought in suffering from oral injuries and brain bleeds that were apparently not consistent with explanations provided by the father, 39-year-old Christopher Jeffery Hasley. As a result of the abuse inflicted by Hasley, the baby girl is partially paralyzed and has permanent brain damage. She’s blind, deaf, cannot swallow and has periodic seizures. At Tuesday’s sentencing, the little girl’s grandmother made a statement about the devastating impact Hasley’s actions have had on the young victim and her family.
