Some young Shasta County sluggers are knocking it out of the park again. The Foothill Area Little League Junior All Star Softball Team based out of Palo Cedro has, for the second year in a row, won the Nor-Cal State Tournament. The title earns them a spot at the West Region Little League Tournament in Tuscon, Arizona, which gets underway Friday. The girls will play against the top 12 teams from around the Western U.S., with the winner going to the Little League Junior Softball World Series in Kirkland, Washington – just like last year’s team did. Since the All Star Tournament began June 15th, the girls are undefeated with 10 wins. Fans can follow the teams progress on Facebook.
