A train came to a screeching halt in downtown Redding at around one o’clock Friday afternoon, and there were reports that a pedestrian had been struck. The train was blocking several downtown streets. However, about two hours later Redding Police said their search had revealed no evidence of anyone getting hit and the train was sent on its way
