A beautification project along Oregon Street in Downtown Redding will be paid for mostly through grant funding. The project between Shasta and Yuba Streets will include completing sidewalk segments, enclosing 460 feet of the open Calaboose Creek drainage, making a pedestrian crossing ADA accessible between the courthouse and the juror parking lot, and adding landscaping and other features. The city is contracting with J.F. Shea and the local non-profit “Plantable”. Work will begin in early August and finish before November.
