The Lake Redding Regatta sponsored by Visit Redding is this weekend, with a party and “date night” on Saturday evening from 5PM to 9PM featuring food, drinks and live music. Open paddling and performance racing begins on Saturday evening, with the action continuing on Sunday from 9AM to 3PM. Other events, including a big party in the park, will also continue on Sunday, starting with an Asphalt Cowboys pancake breakfast in the morning. There will be live music, food trucks, drinks -alcoholic and otherwise- and a lot more fun on Sunday. There’s no charge for admission or spectators. Registration for paddlers can be done through a link on the KQMS Facebook Page. There are various divisions, boats and age categories.
