There’s no more spur-of-the moment commentary allowed at Shasta County Board of Supervisors Meetings, and the window to get permission is very narrow. All members of the public who wish to speak must first register their intention to speak online, but speaker registration does not open until 8AM on the day of the meeting, which almost always starts at 9 O’clock, as it will Tuesday. In keeping with a new state law, comments may be made either in person or by phone.
