A Sacramento man and a Redding man have both been caught separately in an online child predator sting, according to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. In late July, a detective posed as a 14-year-old girl, and reportedly caught the attention of 43-year-old Trevor Adam Diercks of Sacramento, as well as 59-year-old Steven Michael Corbel of Redding. Both men allegedly started asking for explicit photos and sending explicit photos and themselves. In both cases, detectives say the men made arrangements to meet for sex with who they thought was a 14-year-old girl. Apparently, Corbel met at a pre-determined location August 5th, and Diercks met at his own predetermined location Thursday after driving from Sacramento. Both were arrested on several felony charges.
