The Ironman competition is on Sunday, with a lot of events leading up to it this weekend. Friday night from 6:30PM to 8PM it’s “Hoppy Hour” at Final Draft Brewing on California Street, as the community can lift a pint to toast the triathletes. The “Start Line Social” is from 8PM to 10PM at Whistlestop Park with live music, food and more. “Ironkids” will be Saturday at the Civic Auditorium lawn. It’s a fun competition for youngsters, with a one mile race for ages 5 to 17, a half-mile race for ages 3 to 8, and a toddler trot for ages 1 to 3.
