Following the Shasta County Board of Supervisors censure of Registrar of Voters Clint Curtis last week, the county has released a statement that disavows and denounces violations of the personnel rules. The statement says Curtis was repeatedly advised of appropriate procedures concerning personnel matters, but has shown a complete disregard for employees’ rights. Within an hour of Curtis’s censure last week, he publicly released video footage that he claimed to show his staff members bypassing security to access unauthorized areas. He said he did not discuss any of it with the accused, but notified the FBI.
