A recall effort is underway for a member of the Happy Valley School District Board, and there are allegations flying around about a cover-up. It’s claimed that the board member in question helped some families report sexual assaults of their young children by a fellow student last year. Many people have been named on social media posts as being complicit in burying the story and protecting the accused child, as well as the school administrators. A lawsuit has been filed by parents represented by Barr and Mudford against the Superintendent and Principal of Happy Valley Primary, claiming that the accused child had done previous actions that were ignored or downplayed. There have been no criminal charges filed and the allegations are being made in civil court.
