A woman died in a crash at the south edge of Redding Saturday. At 2:25PM a motorcyclist was on Canyon Road with a female passenger riding on the seat behind him. He went across the double yellow line into the opposing lane to try and pass a car but the car made a left turn into a driveway near Valley View Drive and the motorcycle collided with it. The rider was hospitalized with moderate injuries. The female passenger suffered major injuries and died at the hospital. Redding Police say drugs and alcohol are not suspected.
